Welcome to my USA Road Trip blog. In August and September of 2010, our hired Harley Davidson motorcycles took Bill and me on a 4750 mile journey, across seven American states in three weeks.I created this site to preserve the memories of this fantastic visit to Western America with my father and to share these with anyone who cares to read them.
To the right you will find links to the daily blog entries, which contain my attempts to record our holiday experience, along with a selection of related photographs.
Also to the right is a gadget which displays a random slideshow of the complete holiday photo album, which contains over 400 photos. If you click on the photos displayed via this gadget, you will be directed to the Picasa website, where the full size photos can be viewed along with the locations of where they were taken.

p.s. I would also like to thank David Grist and team at HC Travel in Overton, Hants. HC provided a competitive quote, which bettered the price we received from another company in 2008 and was cheaper than going to the U.S. rental company directly. Booking in the UK also meant that we knew what we were paying at the start of the trip, rather than being at the mercy of fluctuating exchange rates (on our last trip the cost of the each bike was £300 more expensive by the time we returned).
